The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC programs for complex parts manufactured from aerospace-grade materials while ensuring compliance with stringent quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nDevelop, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis CNC lathes and mill-turn machines.\nInterpret complex aerospace engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements.\nCreate machining strategies using CAD/CAM software to manufacture tight-tolerance aerospace components.\nSelect tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and work-holding solutions for efficient production.\nProgram and support machining of aerospace materials including titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, aluminum alloys, and other exotic metals.\nCollaborate with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to improve processes and resolve technical issues.\nConduct prove-outs and first article inspections (FAI) to ensure program accuracy and compliance with customer requirements.\nReduce cycle times and improve productivity through continuous process optimization.\nTroubleshoot programming, tooling, setup, and machining challenges to minimize downtime.\nMaintain program documentation, setup sheets, tooling lists, and revision histories.\nSupport AS9100 quality requirements and aerospace customer specifications.\nEnsure compliance with all company safety, quality, and regulatory standards.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n\n5+ years of CNC programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.\n3+ years of experience programming and supporting CNC lathes and mill-turn equipment.\nStrong proficiency with CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, NX CAM, Fusion 360, or similar platforms.\nAdvanced knowledge of G-code, M-code, machining practices, and cutting tool technologies.\nAbility to read and interpret aerospace blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T.\nExperience with multi-axis machining and complex part geometries.\nStrong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.\nAbility to work independently and in a collaborative team environment.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nAerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred.\nExperience with Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, Siemens, or Mori Seiki controls.\nKnowledge of AS9100 quality systems and First Article Inspection (AS9102).\nFamiliarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability studies.\nExperience machining critical flight, engine, structural, or landing gear components.\nTechnical degree or certification in CNC Programming, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.\n\nKey Competencies\n\nAerospace precision machining\nMulti-axis programming\nLathe and Mill-Turn operations\nGD&T expertise\nCAD/CAM programming\nContinuous improvement\nRoot cause analysis\nQuality and regulatory compliance\nProcess optimization\nCross-functional collaboration\nRequirements:\n\nAcknowledgments:\n\nThe above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
