It is especially well suited for a recent college graduate interested in psychology, child development, mental health, or education.The RoleOur Program Coordinator is often the first point of contact for new families and plays an important role in helping them feel supported and informed. This person also helps keep a busy psychology practice organized and running smoothly.The ideal candidate is compassionate, personable, proactive, exceptionally organized, and comfortable juggling many different responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesIntake & Family CommunicationRespond to prospective families, conduct initial intake calls, explain WaveMind's services, coordinate onboarding, and serve as a warm and helpful point of contact for families.Scheduling & Practice CoordinationManage patient and clinician scheduling, coordinate programs and appointments, troubleshoot scheduling needs, and help ensure efficient day-to-day practice operations.Clinic OperationsKeep the clinic organized and welcoming, prepare treatment materials and spaces, assist with program logistics, and support clinicians and leadership with ongoing projects and operational needs.Billing & Insurance SupportAssist with patient billing questions, communicate with insurance companies as needed, and help manage administrative follow-up related to accounts, benefits, claims, and authorizations.Clinical OpportunitiesDepending on training and clinical need, participate in supervised clinical work such as exposure therapy or behavioral support, therapeutic activities, groups, intensive programs, and other evidence-based interventions.Who We're Looking ForBachelor's degree required; psychology, child development, education, behavioral science, or a related field preferredStrong interest in psychology, children, mental health, or educationExperience working with children and/or families preferredWarm, compassionate, and confident communicating with parentsExtremely organized, detail-oriented, and reliableProactive and able to identify what needs to be done without constant directionComfortable switching between administrative, interpersonal, and clinical tasksStrong written and verbal communication skillsComfortable learning technology and practice-management systemsAble to handle confidential information professionallyAvailable to work in person at our West Los Angeles clinicWhy This Position Is DifferentThis role provides unusual exposure to both the clinical and operational sides of a specialty psychology practice.
