Wärtsilä North America. is looking for a Service Technician, Mechanical to join our dynamic, fast-paced Field Service team for Energy Business..
What will you be doing
As a Service Technician, you will perform advanced mechanical as well as electronic & automation and system integration related troubleshooting on reciprocating internal combustion (RICE) engines and auxiliary equipment.
As a Service Technician, you will focus on these responsibilities:
Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan and tasks that may be assigned.
Support in the technical advisory for repair activities executed on customers responsibility.
Interact with customers during the work execution.
Interacting with FS back office during work execution.
Report to local team leader and assist in generating Service Work Reports as needed.
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wartsila quality, health and environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
Comply with the management system according to what has been implemented locally for her/his position.
Proactively consult, advise, and promote available Wartsila solutions and products to customer.
Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values and company policies applicable as employee and to the position.
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
2 years of experience working field service activities on:
Reciprocating Internal Combustion Engines (RICE)
Diesel or heavy fuel engines
Gas and or dual fuel engines
Fuel oil or gas injection systems
Engines auxiliary systems (separators, radiator, fuel and air systems)
Additional Skills
Good leadership and collaboration skills
Good electrical knowledge
Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
Good computer skills
