Payroll Coordinator - Temp-To-Hire

Interviews are happening this week, don’t wait to apply!Responsibilities and DutiesMaintain payroll records, reporting, and related system updates to support accurate processing and compliance.Coordinate with internal departments and multiple locations to collect and validate payroll-related information.Research and resolve payroll discrepancies, exceptions, and other pay-related concerns.Monitor timekeeping data and follow up on discrepancies, missing details, or approval issues.Assist with payroll adjustments, corrections, off-cycle payments, and employee pay updates as needed.Ensure payroll information is submitted according to established processing timelines.Support adherence to company policies, payroll procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.Assist with additional administrative projects and team support responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications and SkillsHigh School Diploma or GED required, Bachelors degree preferred1+ years of Payroll processing experienceExcel experience, formulas, vlookups and pivot tables preferredTimekeeping system experience preferred like Kronos or UKG Workforce Pro Management (Dimensions)Must be able to learn CA payroll lawsStrong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively both independently and within a collaborative team environment.Detail-oriented and analytical with the ability to prioritize competing responsibilities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and quickly adapt to new systems and processes.FORTIS Resource Partners provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
