This role can be hybrid or fully-remote, but candidate must live in a location where the firm has a physical presence.\nEssential duties and responsibilities of staff designated as Docket Specialist at the Firm include but are not limited to:\nSupport clients, attorneys and other staff members by performing an administrative role and handling detail-oriented and critical tasks;\nOperate a computer, fax software, copy/scanning machine, telephone;\nMaintain electronic files on behalf of clients;\nManage mail and emails from Patent and Trademark Offices, and local Agents;\nReceive, analyze and enter critical deadlines in the Firm's centralized docketing database;\nAudit patent and trademark records against publicly available information;\nMonitor and clear the critical docket to ensure no deadlines are missed;\nWrite and execute specialized docket reports;\nProcess large docketing projects, including new client intakes;\nWork as a team to prioritize tasks;\nResearch foreign and domestic patent and trademark law.\nDocket Specialist must:\nAssociate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required along with at least 2 years of experience in computerized docket databases for deadline management of trademarks and/or patents;\nExperience with CPI and NetDocs preferred, along with working knowledge of domestic and international patent and trademark country law;\nStrong experience with Microsoft applications required, including Outlook, Word and Excel;\nExperience working in an electronic/remote environment preferred;\nStrong analytic, writing and communication skills, attention to detail, with a high level of focus and organization;\nWork effectively both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.\nExcellent interpersonal skills, and handle a diverse and high-volume workload in a professional manner;\nAbility to manage multiple tasks, prioritize, problem solve and work under pressure;\nBe willing and able to maintain client confidentiality and exercise good judgement when making decisions and handling certain situations;\nRegular and timely attendance at work when scheduled;\nBe willing and able to sit at a desk/computer for long periods of time.\nNormal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.\nThe above is intended to describe the general content of and requirements for the performance of this job.
