This is a 3rd shift position and standard work hours are Sunday-Wednesday 9:30 pm - 7:30 am. Occasional overtime may be required. Pay starts at $21.00 per hour and depends on experience. There is also a $2.00 per hour shift premium.Material Handler Position Information:\r\nThis position reports directly to the Materials Manager and must work in coordination with co-workers to be effective. For more information on Horton, Inc. please visit our web site at www.hortonww.com.Responsibilities\r\nMaterial Handler Responsibilities:\r\nMaintain production by keeping materials stocked to each assigned area as needed by the operators.\r\nIncludes raw materials, skids, totes, bins and any other materials as needed.\r\nWill move and assist in changes of dies as needed.\r\nMove WIP and finished products to appropriate areas as needed by the operators.\r\nStore and retrieve all WIP in the proper locations with the proper identification\r\nMove all stock to the warehouse and place in correct warehouse locations.\r\nNotify warehouse personnel of material shortages as needed.\r\nCycle counts or weigh counts of particular materials as needed.\r\nKeep production areas clear of material, finished products, tubs, skids and any other items that may need to be moved.\r\nMay also fill in as needed in production areas.\r\nMust complete all safety checks when needed including daily forklift checklists.\r\nWill empty scrap containers as needed to appropriate locations.\r\nPaperwork and computer transactions when required.\r\nAs with everyone on the team, other duties may be assigned to support the overall success of the company.Qualifications\r\nMaterial Handler Qualifications:\r\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each duty satisfactorily.\r\nAbility to work well in a group and individually.\r\nSome degree of mechanical aptitude may be required.\r\nAbility to safely drive forklift and obtain certification.\r\nAbility to do paperwork needed for the job.\r\nMust be able to support production and work well with people.\r\nHigh school diploma/GED is required.\r\nMust have legal authorization to work in the United States.
