Company OverviewGreene County Health Care is a Community Health Center providing comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health servicesfor members of our communities in Greene, Pitt and Pamlico counties in eastern North Carolina.Job SummaryProvides dental services to patients.Responsibilities And DutiesProvides dental diagnostic and treatment services to patientsPerforms dental examinations and creates treatment plansMaintains accurate dental patient records in electronic health record (EHR) and completes documentation within timelines in established policies and proceduresProvides dental treatment as listed in treatmentplanRefers patients to appropriate external/specialty care as neededAdheres to established scheduling templates in provision of patient careParticipates in quality metrics directives and departmental quality improvement (QI) projectsAttends practitioners’ meetings regularlyAttends clinical site meetings regularlyAttends practice-wide meetings regularlyReads emails and other platforms of communication within the organizationCompletes peer reviewComplies with Clinical Quality Measures expectationsUses resources to verify standards of careModifies workflows as determined by department to attain QI objectivesConsistently documents activities related to QI projects Participates in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency programObtains/maintains appropriate credentialing to supervise AEGD residentsProvides clinical supervision to AEGD residents as they examine, treatment plan and treat patientsReviews and co-signs AEGD resident’s patient notes in EHRQualifications And SkillsGraduate of an accredited Dental School with a Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.Current licensure as a Dentist in good standing with the North Carolina Board of Dental Examiners.
