Description:Summary of the role.The Lead (EL06) Limited Energy Electrician is responsible for overseeing onsite AV installation and setup, ensuring that all equipment is transported, assembled, and installed efficiently. They take a leadership role in delegating tasks to both lead and non-lead technicians, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to project timelines. Additionally, the Lead (EL06) Limited Energy Electrician provides nightly updates to Project Managers, keeping them informed on progress, challenges, and next steps. Through their technical expertise and leadership, they play a critical role in the successful execution of AV projects.What You Will Do
Install equipment on customer site(s) in accordance with the proposal specifications and design
Equipment Setup & Assembly
Review project scopes, equipment lists, line drawings, etc.
Function as a mentor, trainer, and technical resource to other Installers.
Testing of all installed systems (using supplied test equipment)
Serve as the main contact for customers and Project Managers while on site.
Verbal communication of work status to the Project Lead Installer
Cleaning and organizing the work van / work site to maintain safe work environment
Assist with Crew’s inventory control
Mark up and deliver as built drawings.
Technical Support
Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers, Installers, Technicians,
Programmers, and Sales Representatives as needed on projects. On-site service assistance for complex issues as needed
Answer questions and educate customers and staff on audio/visual systems.Requirements:Skills & Knowledge
High School Diploma
Communication & Organization skills
WA State EL06 Limited Energy Electrician License
2-5 years of Low Voltage or AV experience
In depth knowledge of AV signal flow and common manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, and QSC
Desire to grow and further education
Mathematical skills
Comfortable with power tools
Problem solving and TeamworkPhysical Expectations
Installers will spend most days on client site. These sites can vary from office spaces, classrooms, auditoriums, churches, correctional facilities.
In addition to on-site work, Installers will also spend time In-house working on rack builds and staging jobs.
Will be required to stand, reach, bend, twist, squat, and move about freely.
May need to be able to lift 75 lbs.
Must be able to operate various hand tools and power tools.
Must be able to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and operate lifts (single person, scissor lifts).
Must be able to work at heights equal too if not greater than 25’.
