We are interested in candidates across a range of experience levels—from talented new graduates entering professional software development to experienced Senior Engineers capable of owning complex application components and mentoring other developers.\n\nCandidates are not expected to match every technology in our stack. We place greater value on strong software-engineering fundamentals, demonstrated depth appropriate to the candidate’s experience level, the ability to solve problems systematically, and the ability to learn and operate effectively within an established engineering environment.\n\nBackend engineering is particularly important to the team. Mid-Level and Senior candidates should demonstrate meaningful proficiency developing modern .NET backend applications and APIs. Senior candidates should also bring broader experience with enterprise application development, distributed systems, relational data, and technical mentorship.\n\nFinal position level will be based on demonstrated experience, technical depth, scope of prior responsibility, and interview performance.\n\nWHAT YOU WILL WORK WITH:\n\nBackend\n\nC#, .NET 8+, ASP.NET Core\n\nData Access\n\nEntity Framework / Entity Framework Core\n\nDatabase\n\nPostgreSQL\n\nFront-End\n\nAngular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS\n\nIntegration\n\nREST APIs, JSON\n\nMessaging\n\nRabbitMQ and event-driven application patterns\n\nArchitecture\n\nModular applications, distributed services, microservices\n\nCloud\n\nMicrosoft Azure / Azure Government\n\nDevOps\n\nGit, Docker, CI/CD, Azure DevOps\n\nProcess\n\nAgile/Scrum, Jira, Confluence\n\nSecurity\n\nSecure coding practices, RBAC, CUI/IL4 controls\n\nExperience with micro-frontend architectures is especially valuable.\n\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:\n\nDepending on experience and assigned level, Software Engineers will:\n\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain modern enterprise software using .NET and Angular.\nDevelop REST APIs, backend services, application business logic, and user-interface components.\nImplement application persistence using Entity Framework and PostgreSQL.\nBuild reliable integrations with internal and external systems.\nDevelop asynchronous and event-driven functionality using RabbitMQ and related patterns.\nWrite automated unit, integration, and other appropriate tests.\nTroubleshoot application defects and performance problems.\nParticipate in peer code reviews.\nCollaborate with software engineers, the Tech Lead, Chief Engineer, Data Engineer, Test Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and product personnel.\nParticipate in Agile planning, refinement, sprint execution, reviews, and retrospectives.\nDevelop secure, maintainable software consistent with established architectural and engineering standards.\nDocument significant implementation details, interfaces, and technical decisions.\nContribute to continuous improvement of software-development practices.\n\nMore experienced engineers will additionally:\n\nOwn increasingly complex features and software components.\nLead feature- and component-level implementation design.\nIdentify technical risks and cross-component dependencies.\nConduct deeper code and design reviews.\nResolve difficult application and integration problems.\nMentor less-experienced engineers.\nContribute reusable patterns and shared software capabilities.\n\nSystem architecture and engineering standards are owned by the Chief Engineer, while day-to-day technical execution, decomposition, and team coordination are owned by the Tech Lead. Senior Software Engineers provide technical leadership primarily through hands-on implementation, feature design, troubleshooting, code review, and mentorship.\n\nQUALIFICATIONS BY LEVEL:\n\nJunior Software Engineer\n\nTypically 0–3 years of professional experience.\n\nCandidates should demonstrate:\n\nSoftware-development fundamentals and working knowledge of object-oriented programming.\nExperience with C# or another strongly typed programming language.\nFamiliarity with relational databases and SQL.\nFamiliarity with web applications, HTTP, and APIs.\nExposure to JavaScript or TypeScript.\nFamiliarity with Git.\nStrong problem-solving ability and willingness to learn.\n\nProfessional experience is not required for otherwise strong candidates.
