This role is responsible for leading construction safety initiatives, ensuring OSHA and EPA compliance, managing contractor safety performance, and promoting a zero-incident safety culture across all project activities.\n\nJob Details\n\nLocation: Newark, OH\n\nDuration: 8 months\n\nPay Rate: $45.00 - $47.00/hour\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nLead and manage construction safety programs and compliance initiatives\n\nConduct safety audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard mitigation planning\n\nOversee contractor safety performance, orientations, toolbox talks, and compliance reviews\n\nInvestigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions\n\nEnsure compliance with OSHA 1926 standards, EPA regulations, and site safety requirements\n\nDevelop and deliver safety training programs for construction personnel and contractors\n\nCoordinate emergency response procedures and continuous improvement initiatives\n\nTrack safety KPIs, audit findings, and corrective action completion\n\nRequired Skills & Qualifications\n\n5+ years of construction safety or construction management experience\n\nStrong knowledge of OSHA 1926 construction standards and regulatory compliance\n\nExperience supporting capital construction projects and contractor safety programs\n\nStrong leadership, communication, investigation, and problem‑solving skills\n\nAbility to work effectively in fast‑paced industrial or construction environments\n\nBachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Engineering, Occupational Safety, or related field preferred\n\nPreferred Qualifications\n\nChemical or industrial construction safety experience\n\nSix Sigma or Lean certification\n\nExperience with international safety standards and practices\n\nExcellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.\n\nTo Apply\nTo be considered, please apply directly to this requisition using the link provided.
