Project Architect/PM
A highly reputable firm is seeking an experienced Project Architect to join a collaborative design studio in Portland, Oregon. This role is suited for a technically strong, licensed architect who can lead the technical development and coordination of medium- to large-scale projects across the West coast and Pacific Northwest from design development through construction documentation.The Project Architect is responsible for ensuring project quality, code compliance, and successful coordination with consultants and regulatory agencies. This position also includes supervising team members, managing technical workflows, and supporting project delivery in alignment with contractual, budgetary, and quality expectations.ResponsibilitiesLead technical development, design development, and construction document phases of medium- to large-scale projectsResolve technical, code, and agency approval issues; direct and coordinate consultantsSupervise and manage up to four project team members across all project phasesManage coordination with government agencies and resolve plan review and approval issuesReview cost estimates, conduct value analysis, and approve project changesAssist with work plans, schedules, budgets, staffing projections, and billingLead or participate in client, consultant, and OAC meetingsRequirementsDegree in Architecture (preferred), or related field such as Interior Design, Civil Engineering, Construction Management Licensed or path to being licensedMinimum 5 years of professional architectural experience with strong technical proficiency across all documentation phasesAbility to communicate clearly, delegate tasks effectively, and keep supervisors and clients informedWorking knowledge of contracts, fee calculations, and scope managementAbility to follow established standards, protocols, and quality expectationsAbility to travel as neededThis position offers the opportunity to work on complex projects in a collaborative environment, with a flexible hybrid schedule and competitive compensation.Salary Range: $85,000 - $127,000
