Join our passionate team in Albuquerque, NM, producing top-tier supplements since 1982 with great benefits like PTO, health coverage, on campus gym/basketball courts, walking path, free supplements and 401k.\nVitality Works is in search of qualified candidate for our QA Analyst position.\nPosition Summary:\nAs a QC Analyst, you will conduct routine and non-routine Quality Control functions relating to material receiving, lab formulation, analytical testing, microbiological testing, and encapsulation according to established procedures.\nPosition Responsibilities:\nMaintain accurate records and perform data entry, documentation, and inventory counts with a high degree of accuracy.\nEnsure compliance with Quality Control (QC) Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and identify, troubleshoot, and document deviations from established processes.\nPerform raw material and product identification testing using Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR) as required.\nConduct microbiological testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products as required.\nPerform Environmental Monitoring (EM) and water quality testing in accordance with established procedures.\nConduct analytical testing and quantitative assays using laboratory instrumentation, including High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), and other analytical techniques as required.\nPerform in-house laboratory analyses, including Specific Gravity, Jones Reagent, Solubility, Fill Weight Verification, and other routine QC tests.\nCoordinate and manage the submission of raw materials and finished products to third-party contract laboratories for testing and analysis.\nAssist in the investigation, documentation, and disposition of nonconforming materials and products.\nReview and approve manufacturing batch records to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.\nReview and approve powder blends for encapsulation and finished encapsulated products.\nReceive, sample, test, and approve USP Ethyl Alcohol in accordance with applicable USP requirements and internal procedures.\nProvide cross-functional support and backup coverage for Quality Control laboratory operations as needed.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and complete special projects and additional duties as assigned by the QC Laboratory Manager.\nSkills & Requirements:\nBS degree in a life science such as Chemistry or related field\nAt least two years working in a laboratory setting\nExperience working in a GMP facility\nUnderstanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) for the Dietary Supplement industry; specifically, quality control.\nProficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)\nStrong math and analytical skills\nStrong verbal, technical writing and interpersonal skills are required\nMust be detail oriented\nAbility to multitask and work under pressure to produce positive outcomes\nPhysical Demands & Working Conditions:\nAble to sit for long periods of time\nPosition will require some walking, standing and sitting\nSome lifting of at least 50 pounds on occasion may be required\nVitality Works Benefits:\nAt Vitality Works, we know your power comes from your overall well-being and the well-being of your family.
