{"schemaVersion":"jobsearcher.job.v1","id":"9cbf484dee45c62eeab4b0fb","url":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9cbf484dee45c62eeab4b0fb","canonicalUrl":"https://jobsearcher.com/jobs/9cbf484dee45c62eeab4b0fb","title":"Manufacturing Engineer - KC","description":"Job Title\n\nBusiness Unit\n\nDepartment\n\nReports To\n\nManufacturing Engineer\n\nBrock Grain Systems\n\nManufacturing\n\nPlant Manager\n\nBU Location\n\nBU Acceptance\n\nApproved By:\n\nDate Approved\n\nKansas City, MO\n\nJason Freeman\n\n12/11/25\n\n Purpose: Why the Job Exists & What You Will Do:\n\nAs the Manufacturing Engineer, you will utilize statistical analysis and objective data to measure effectiveness, improve, standardize, maintain and sustain operational processes and assign activities from the Plant Manager to meet the goals of the business.\n\nEssential Job Functions & Expected Outcomes: Your Accountabilities in the Role\n\nManufacturing Process Improvement: 100% of the Job\n\nAssists the site Operations in various areas to ensure products and processes are handled effectively, meeting business goals.\n\nPartners with cross-functional teams and other team members in Kaizen projects and CI efforts to develop processes that meet cost and delivery times.\n\nDevelop standardized work and work instructions for machinery and manufacturing systems\n\nPreparation of civil engineering drawings and other graphic material, ensuring alignment with product specifications.\n\nConduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions with Maintenance and Operations that will increase output & remove bottle necks while meeting budget.\n\nCreates, updates, and maintains engineering documents stored in databases or in hard copy form to ensure current data is referenced.\n\nAssists in the preparation of cost and quantity estimates to ensure alignment to project goals.\n\nPrepares a variety of progress reports and summaries of construction projects to keep the team informed and the projects on track.\n\nCoordinates the Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes to ensure administrative functions are handled effectively to keep projects moving.\n\nCreates Bill of Materials/Product Structures, routings etc. for new products in the system and ensures accurate costing and part usage in the system. This will involve interaction/collaboration from Engineering, Production, Purchasing and other support areas.\n\nCoordinates and gathers data to reach conclusions on process/documentation/product changes, as needed, to ensure accurate processes and data control.\n\nHandles general administrative items and maintains files to support the team.\n\n Analyzes, researches and collaborates with others (internal and external) within the area to facilitate the CER for the purchase of capital equipment ensuring area goals are met.\n\nThe job criteria may include other duties, responsibilities and activities, which may change or be assigned at any item with or without notice.\n\nPosition Requirements:\n\nEducation: Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering-related field; would consider a combination of coursework and experience.\n\nExperience: 0-2 years of Engineering process work or Engineering Project Management, with CADCAM experience.\n\nCertification(s): None required but a plus if ASQ/Six Sigma certified or other certifications\n\nFunctional Skills: Strong detail orientation with excellent planning, prioritizing, and organizing skills are required to work effectively in managing various projects. Must be able to take initiative, be forward-thinking, and make solid decisions focused on the goals of the organization. Excellent math and problem-solving skills are necessary to effectively enhance the manufacturing areas.\n\nTechnology Aptitude/Skills: Solid ERP skills; understands system functionality and the system file structure relationship to be successful in the role. A firm grasp on reading drawingsFamiliarity with Programming or PLC’s is preferred; requires advanced PC and Word/Excel skills to create pivot tables and V-look ups as required. A strong grasp on reading drawings, blueprints, graph analysis and statistical data. Preferably an understanding in process control, Minitab and AutoCAD.\n\nLanguage Skills: Excellent communication (verbal/written) and presentation skills to meet the goals of the position.\n\nLeadership/Behaviors: Self-motivated and able to prioritize activities daily.
