The engineer will develop, maintain, and verify missile trajectory simulations and support simulation use across the program.\nResponsibilities Develop a 6DOF physics-based missile trajectory simulation used across the FBM program.\nWrite or modify software to support and perform specific analysis.\nPerform verification and validation of the new simulation against legacy simulation and post-flight data.\nEvaluate system performance in complex scenarios and environments and verify system and subsystem level requirements.\nCreate technical memos and present simulation demos to internal engineering teams, customer technical representatives, and Program Office personnel during technical exchange meetings.\nProvide support to the missile simulation’s user base, working groups, for LM personnel and various non-LM FBM contractors.\nBasic Qualifications Experience as a Systems Engineer, Aerospace Engineer, Software Engineer, or Guidance, Navigation, and Controls (GNC) Engineer.\nExperience in flight dynamics, trajectories, physics-based modeling, and/or time domain simulations.\nProgramming experience in C++.\nExperience with software configuration management tools (Git, Artifactory, Nexus or similar).\nActive/Valid Secret Security clearance with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance; US Citizenship required.\nDesired Skills Bachelor’s degree in engineering, math, physics or other related field.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills to include generation and presentation of verification plans, analysis reports, algorithm description documentation, other technical documents.\n1+ year hands-on experience performing guidance, navigation, or flight control engineering on aerospace or missile applications.\nExperience integrating and testing hardware and software in Hardware In-the-Loop (HWIL).\nExperience programming in UNIX/LINUX operating system (O/S) environment.\nStrong problem-solving abilities; can debug and optimize scripts.\nFamiliarity with STK, MBSE, Cameo, Agile process.\nFBM program experience is a plus.\nActive Top Secret clearance.\nSecurity Clearance This position requires a government security clearance. The applicant must be a U.S. citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.\nCompensation and Benefits Annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550.
