Operates and maintains stranding machinery and related equipment in accordance with company standards, ISO/AS procedures, and continuous improvement practices. Ensures product quality, safety, and production efficiency at all times.\n$22.00 per hour + $5/hr shift differential!\n3rd shift: 11pm-7am\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSet up and operate 1–9 stranding machines under varying levels of supervision.\nAdjust machinery to maintain proper wire/strand movement, speed, and tension.\nInterpret work orders, blueprints, diagrams, and part numbering systems to prepare and execute production runs.\nVerify start-up approvals and ensure all specifications are met prior to and during production.\nOperate related equipment including standers, welders, preform heads, hoists, cutters, and postformers.\nMonitor production processes, including spool changes, gauges, die pressures, and footage counters.\nPerform precise measurements using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure tolerance requirements (± .0005) are met.\nMake necessary adjustments using basic math and measurement calculations.\nPrepare products for subsequent production steps.\nQuality & Documentation\n\nMaintain accurate production and traceability records.\nRecord inspection results, SPC data, and part information daily.\nInput data into SPC systems in a timely and accurate manner.\nMonitor product quality and report abnormalities or equipment malfunctions.\nSupport continuous improvement efforts and adherence to ISO/AS standards.\nMaintenance & Safety\n\nPerform routine preventative maintenance and lubrication of equipment.\nMaintain clean and organized work areas and machinery.\nFollow all company safety policies and OSHA standards.\nUse required personal protective equipment (PPE).\nTeamwork & Communication\n\nCommunicate regularly with supervisors, technicians, and team members regarding production status and issues.\nParticipate in team meetings, SPC initiatives, and continuous improvement projects.\nAssist in training and onboarding new employees as needed.\nContribute ideas to improve processes, safety, quality, and efficiency.\nQualifications\n\nHigh school diploma or trade school training in manufacturing or a related field preferred.\n1–3 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent.\nBasic computer and data entry skills (or ability to learn).\nAbility to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.\nProficiency with precision measuring instruments.\nStrong mathematical skills, including decimal and fractional calculations.\nEffective communication skills in English.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nPerformance Expectations\n\nPerformance is evaluated based on:\n\nProduct quality, output, and efficiency\nAdherence to ISO/AS and SPC standards (including CPK metrics)\nAccuracy and timeliness of documentation\nEquipment operation proficiency\nAttendance, safety compliance, and teamwork\nScrap reduction and continuous improvement participation\nPhysical Requirements\n(With or without reasonable accommodation)\n\nStand for extended periods (60–90%) on concrete surfaces.\nPerform repetitive tasks involving hand and body movement.\nLift and handle materials including:\nSpools up to 13 lbs (frequently)\nReels up to 50–200 lbs using hoists (occasionally)\nApply manual force (5–25 lbs) for cutting and machine operation.\nPerform frequent bending, lifting, gripping, and reaching.\nMaintain high levels of hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and concentration.\nWork Environment\n\nManufacturing environment with exposure to varying temperatures.\nPotential exposure to minor injuries (cuts, burns, abrasions) and industrial materials/chemicals.\nPPE required as appropriate.\nOvertime, weekend, holiday, or shift work may be required.\nAdditional Requirements\n\nMust be at least 18 years old.\nMust comply with company drug, alcohol, and workplace policies.\nBenefits:\n\nHealth, Dental and Vision insurance options\nLife insurance\n401(k) with company match\nPaid time off\nEmployee assistance program\nEmployee Referral program\nTuition reimbursement\nShift: 8-hour shift\nWork Location: In person, Company does not provide relocation assistance.\n\nCentral Wire Group of Companies is proud to be an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
