As a Machine Operator you are a key to continued growth and success of Airlite. This role is responsible for supervise line employees, operate machine at high skill level to achieve desired results. To lead and coordinates the operation of the equipment and personnel of the area, with the main purpose of achieving the goals of Safety, Quality and Productivity. Operates the equipment and maintains good settings to produce desired results as set forth by the Production Scheduler and Shift Supervisor. Maintains organization of activities and assigned line employees accordingly to achieve all work scheduled.\n\nEssential Duties:\n\nMaintain 5S of work area.\nDirect efforts of assigned line employees to achieve a Quality product, which meets customer(s) specifications.\nHandling of job assignments of the line employees, ensuring that all line employees are working in a safe and productive manner.\nTraining of new line employees.\nBasic knowledge of statistical process control.\nSet up of line to run orders given from Production Scheduler.\nMaking sure that all Operators are wearing the required Safety Gear/Equipment, Materials and Supplies for the product to be run and that the Production Equipment is running safely and properly and that the Machine Settings are correct.\nManage Pre-Op and Clean-Up daily/weekly ensuring all employees use lockouts on machines that they are cleaning.\nWorking knowledge of assembly and packaging requirements and techniques.\nPerform the basic preventative maintenance of the equipment being used in the work areas and perform minor maintenance to assigned equipment.\nMust be able to complete production paperwork required in a timely manner.\nMust be able to plan the sequence of operations.\nMust perform duties in a manner to meet production standards and customer(s) quality requirements.\nMust follow all health and safety requirements of the position.\nMust be able to perform all jobs assigned by the Supervisor.\nStop production when a non-conforming product is detected and make sure that immediate actions are taken.\nAll other appropriate duties as assigned.\n\nEducation/Training/License Required:\n\nHigh School/ GED recommended/preferred.\nMust have the ability to read and comprehend written instructions and policies and procedures.\nMust be able to accurately make simple mathematical computations.\n\nDo you have what it takes?
