This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and adherence to safety and quality standards.\nKey Responsibilities\nMachine Operation\nSet up and operate flatbed die-cutting press according to production orders and specifications.\nInstall dies, adjust machine settings, and verify proper alignment and cutting pressure.\nStack paper into feed section to be loaded into machine when machine is out of paper.\nMonitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and efficiency throughout run.\nOperate equipment safely and follow all lockout/tagout and machine safety procedures.\nQuality Control\nInspect finished products for accuracy, cut quality, scoring, registration, and defects.\nPerform regular quality checks and document results as required.\nEnsure materials meet customer and company standards upon completion of each unit.\nWrap, add dunnage, place tags in units, and remove any excess scrap from unit before sending down the line to be added to finished good and/or next operation.\nMaintenance & Troubleshooting\nConduct routine machine cleaning, lubrication, and basic maintenance.\nTroubleshoot mechanical issues and escalate problems to maintenance when needed.\nMaintain a clean and organized workstation.\nProduction Workflow\nRead and interpret production tickets, work orders, and specifications.\nWork efficiently to meet production schedules and deadlines.\nRecord production data, including quantities, downtime, material usage, and machine performance.\nSafety & Compliance\nFollow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations as well as our company’s Food Safety Certification (FSSC22000).\nWear required PPE and report any hazards or incidents immediately.\nParticipate in safety meetings and training sessions.\nRequirements\n· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear for the 8-hour shift.\n· The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\n· The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.\n· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.\n· Performs additional duties, assignments, and project work as directed by supervision or management to support operational, safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
