The people who join DOT today will help define what comes next.\n\nJob Overview\n\nThe Cybersecurity Engineer is an essential role at DOT Security, enabling and supporting our security solutions within client environments. The work is split between projects and support tickets. This role is ideal for an IT engineer or administrator looking to move into cybersecurity, or for a cybersecurity engineer looking for a position with a growing company.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nOnboarding, renewal, and change order projects — Own the technical implementation of security solutions within client environments. Projects are client-facing and require the ability to work well with varied client IT staff and third-party IT providers.\n\nSolution support — Work troubleshooting and administrative tickets for our security solutions, maintaining the health of our fleet of endpoint agents, connectors, log forwarders, NDR devices, and network scanners.\n\nConsultative advisement — Work with internal teams to answer questions about our technology and provide guidance for varied and unique scenarios.\n\nProcess development and documentation — Write and maintain the implementation procedures, runbooks, and knowledge base articles that make deployments repeatable, and improve existing processes as our tooling changes.\n\nTime tracking — Record time daily in our PSA system. Accurate, same-day time entry is a core expectation of this role — it drives client billing, project health, and capacity planning, and is reviewed as part of performance.\n\nQualifications & Experience\n\nWorking knowledge of endpoint, server, cloud, and networking concepts, with the ability to visualize and understand clients' IT environments.\n\nExperience administering endpoints, servers, and infrastructure at scale, including working knowledge of PowerShell.\n\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems under time pressure.\n\nKnowledge of IT asset security across applications, data, devices, networks, and users, including monitoring and hardening practices.\n\nClear, professional written and verbal communication, including reports, plans, and briefings for both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team, adapt where data is incomplete or no precedent exists, and operate ethically and with integrity.\n\nStrong customer service orientation and the ability to remain composed under pressure.\n\nPreferred qualifications\n\nRelevant work experience in the managed services industry delivering IT and cybersecurity projects and supporting solutions.\n\nExperience with EDR, NDR, XDR, SIEM, DNS filtering, email filtering, and other cybersecurity technologies.\n\nExperience with PSA, ticketing, and time-tracking systems.\n\nWorking knowledge of CIS Controls, NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and OWASP.\n\nRelevant certifications such as Network+, Security+, or CCNA.\n\nRelevant college degree.\n\nAbility to pass a Public Trust background check (limited requirement).\n\nCompensation\n\nActual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skillset, experience and training, licensures and/or certifications, and other organizational needs.\n\nDOT Security may offer applicable incentive compensation plans depending on role and/or department.\n\nFull compensation details can and will be discussed with an Impact Talent Acquisition team member at the start of the interview process.\n\nBenefits We Take Pride In\n\n5-year Tiffany & Co.
