VP of Program Management

DescriptionTitle/Role: Vice President, ProgramsDepartment: Executive LeadershipReports to: Chief Executive OfficerDuties And ResponsibilitiesExecute all programs within contractual requirements to ensure that the project cost, schedule, and technical performance goals are met or exceededUtilizing Earned Value Management, review and report program financial and schedule status frequentlyServe as the primary point of contact for key clients, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive repeat businessManage program budget forecasting, resource planning, and financial performance trackingIdentify opportunities to improve profit margins for individual programs and/or processes throughout the organizationLead and mentor a team of program managers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellenceCollaborate with sales, finance, engineering, planning, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to deliver programs on schedule and within budget[IJ1] Define and execute a long-term strategic vision for program management, including technology roadmaps and market positioning.[IJ2] Drive business development initiatives, including identifying new market opportunities and crafting competitive proposalsEnsure compliance with government contracting requirements, industry standards, and regulatory frameworks (AS9100, FAA, DoD)General Expectations:Exemplary written and verbal communication skillsHighly-developed analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailLeadership skills to include the ability to motivate, mentor, and inspire others, training them on the correct use of tools and processesRequirementsMinimum 15 years of experience in the aerospace and defense industry7–10 years in senior leadership roles managing multi-year aerospace programs exceeding $10M in annual revenueTrack record of successfully overseeing programs with budgets above $25MBS degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical) or Business from an accredited universityProject Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certificationCost accounting or financial analysis experience preferredDirect experience with military aerospace programs preferredWork Environment RequirementsOffice, warehouse, and manufacturing environmentModerate travel may be required to meet with clients, oversee programs, and support business development activities
