Working inside live manufacturing environments, the team diagnoses issues, restores production, and continuously improves system reliability at scale. Fleet Operations operates at the intersection of robotics, controls, and real-world factory execution, ensuring Formic's automation delivers consistent, measurable performance across diverse industrial applications.\n\nAbout the role:\n\nAs a Robotics Deployment Project Manager, you will lead the end-to-end execution of robotics automation deployments across a range of customer environments. You will own scope alignment, deployment planning, execution oversight, and cross-functional coordination to ensure systems are delivered on time, on budget, and to specification.\n\nThis role requires strong technical fluency, disciplined project management, and the ability to drive alignment across customers, internal teams, and third-party integrators. You will play a key role in ensuring deployments run smoothly and consistently as Formic scales its robotics fleet.\n\nIn this role you will:\n\nLead deployment projects from scope validation through installation and commissioning\nPartner with Applications and Solutions Engineers as well as third-party integrators to define requirements and validate technical scope\nDevelop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies\nMonitor project progress and ensure adherence to deadlines, quality standards, and cost targets\nFacilitate resolution of technical, operational, and scheduling issues that arise during deployment\nCoordinate communication across customers, integrators, and internal teams\nDrive structured handoffs from pre-sales through deployment and project close-out\nContribute to the standardization and continuous improvement of internal deployment and project management processes\n\nWhat makes you a great fit:\n\n5+ years of project management experience in technically complex manufacturing or industrial environments\n3+ years of direct experience working with robotics or automation systems\nExperience supporting end-of-line automation such as robotic palletizing, depalletizing, or case packing preferred\nExperience working with industrial robots or cobots (e.g., FANUC, KUKA, Yaskawa, ABB, Universal Robots)\nExperience working with or alongside industrial robotics system integrators\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities\nStructured problem-solver who thrives in fast-paced environments\nWillingness to travel approximately 35–40%\nValid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle for local travel (mileage reimbursed per Formic policy)\n\nWhat we look for:\n\nWe're building this company from the ground up, and every person we hire has an outsized impact on our culture, performance, and trajectory.
