And find satisfaction in doing your part to make the world a better place.\nBecome a maker of possible with us!\nOur vision for Medication Management Solutions at BD\nWith our technical capabilities, the Medication Management Solutions (MMS) team are able to manage multiple systems and our operational capabilities enable us to have medications available when and where needed, reducing inefficiency and waste for nursing and pharmacy teams.\nAbout the role\nAs the Lead Electronic Engineer, you will lead the design, development, and testing of electronic systems and components for innovative medical devices, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company objectives.\nMain responsibilities will include:\nLead the full lifecycle development of electronic hardware, from concept generation and requirements definition to detailed design, prototyping, and validation.\nManage and mentor a team of electronic engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and performance feedback.\nCollaborate cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, software engineers, and quality assurance teams to integrate electronic systems into complex medical devices.\nPerform circuit design, schematic capture, circuit calculations and simulations, PCB layout review, and component selection.\nDevelop and execute test plans, analyze results, and troubleshoot electronic systems and circuits.\nEnsure compliance with relevant medical device regulations (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC 60601) and internal quality procedures.\nParticipate in design reviews, risk assessments, and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA).\nStay abreast of new technologies and industry trends in electronics and medical devices.\nManage project timelines, budgets, and resources for electronic engineering activities.\nPrepare technical documentation, including specifications, design descriptions, and test reports.\nAbout you:\nBachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.\nMinimum of 8 years of experience in electronic hardware design and development, with at least 3 years in a senior engineering role.\nProven experience in the highly regulated industries (Medical, Military, Aerospace, Automotive) is beneficial but not an absolute requirement.\nStrong proficiency in analog and digital circuit design, embedded systems, and sensor integration.\nExpertise with CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout (e.g., Altium Designer, OrCAD/Allegro).\nExperience with microcontrollers, microprocessors, FPGAs, and various communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, USB, Bluetooth).\nSolid understanding of EMI/EMC principles and design for regulatory compliance.\nExperience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, logic analyzers).\nExcellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.\nStrong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.\nClick on apply if this sounds like you!\nAt BD, we prioritize on-site collaboration because we believe it fosters creativity, innovation, and effective problem-solving, which are essential in the fast-paced healthcare industry.
