The duties are varied, and will follow the cycle of the sales calendar as well as research duties to support the Private Sales department activity throughout the year.\nHow You'll Make an Impact\nOnline Sale Coordinator Responsibilities\nManage seller agreement and stock order creation\nTrack the status of consignment paperwork to ensure compliance requirements are met and required records are maintained\nLiaise with clients as needed for all consignment related information, details, and issues\nManage shipping requests and quotes, including client approvals, export licenses, and scheduling\nProactively track receipt of property and follow-up on issues and missing items\nAdminister runner meetings\nManage and track all department items to ensure sale and catalogue deadlines are met and all compliance met\nTrack and ensure execution of contractual marketing promises\nManage online website production process including cataloguing, photography, lotting up and copyright status and monitor and enforce all relevant deadlines\nLiaise with support departments such as photography, gallery operations, shipping, and post sale\nWork with Business Manager to process and track all costs associated with the eCommerce sale\nAnswer and screen incoming phone calls for the department\nOther administrative tasks as assigned by team leaders\nPrivate Sales Research Coordinator Responsibilities\nAssisting Cataloguers and Specialists in researching works for Private Sales. This includes, but is not limited to, provenance and exhibition history research, assisting restitution research, and undertaking literature checks\nAssisting physically inspecting artworks including the coordination of photography, framing and restoration\nWriting catalogue essays for publication, including selecting suitable comparable images for publication, and researching copyright information\nAssist with installing the galleries for private selling exhibitions, which includes compiling and mounting lot cards, and taking installation images for each work\nGeneral department tasks as assigned by line manager\n\nWhat you’ll bring to the team\nUndergraduate degree required\n1+ years’ work experience\nHard-working, energetic, and intellectually curious self-starter who can thrive in a high-pressure environment\nInterest and experience in Impressionist & Modern Art\nStrong project management skills including ability to multi-task, prioritize, manage, and meet multiple deadlines\nExceptional client service skills and a desire to work directly with Christie's clientele\nStrong attention to detail and follow-up skills\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication\nWorks collaboratively across multiple groups and sites\nRemains calm in stressful situations and creatively problem solves\nProficiency in Excel, including familiarity with Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, match formulas, and macros are a plus\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nStrong systems expertise in Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite\nAbility to learn Christie’s internal systems and databases\nChristie’s, Inc. is committed to principles of equal employment opportunity, affirmative action, and to compliance with all federal, state, and local laws concerning employment discrimination, including the Americans with Disabilities Act.
