Parttime Receptionist
Job description:Receptionist is responsible for providing excellent customer service while greeting internal and external clients in person or on the phone. This role helps manage the day-to-day operations of the office. Duties will include answering incoming calls, operating the reception desk, and conducting security-related activities such as monitoring cameras and managing access control systems.Temporary part-time position with an anticipated duration of at least six months and potential for extension. Schedule: Fridays, 8:30 AM–5:00 PMResponsibilitiesGreet guests warmly and professionally, provide them with refreshments, direct them to the conference rooms, and advise the appropriate department/staff that the visitors have arrivedMaintain situational awareness and ensure only authorized guests gain access to the areaMonitor office camerasAnswer and screen incoming callsPrepare, send out, and receive shipmentsScreen incoming mail for security threatsManage office access control and fingerprint enrollment systemCompile daily news reportKeep lobby and reception area neat and cleanSchedule conference rooms as neededArrange office luncheons and Dessert Fridays (if Office Services is unable to do so)Notify Office Services when service providers are needed (e.g., for water, coffee, etc., and Transtar for building matters)Other duties as assignedSkillsProfessional and pleasant demeanorMinimum one year of administrative/clerical experience preferredExcellent customer service skills, in person and on the phoneAble to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines upon requestWork well under pressure with minimal supervisionStrong attention to detail and solid organizational skillsBasic knowledge of PC applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)Excellent written and oral communication skillsBasic CPR/AEDExcellent attendance record; punctual and dependable
