Together, we can build great things POSITION SUMMARYAll the relevant skills, qualifications and experience that a successful applicant will need are listed in the following description.The Journeyman Electrician will support the construction and installation of electrical systems for a utility‑scale solar project in Kiowa, CO. This role involves performing code‑compliant electrical work, installing and terminating equipment, and ensuring all tasks meet safety and quality standards. Candidates should be safety‑focused, comfortable working outdoors, and able to maintain a reliable full‑time schedule. RESPONSIBILITIESTerminate combiner boxesPanel/LV workInstall metering equipmentLayout, bend, thread and install conduitLayout and install switchgear, switchboards and electrical devicesTrench with shovel and install PVC racewayPull and terminate aluminum direct bury wireConnect and support DC wireInstall electrical enclosuresSupervise the work of apprenticesUnload and stage materialPerform electrical testing and commissioningQUALIFICATIONSElectrical Journeyman License RequiredMinimum 4 years’ experienceSolar experience preferredGeneral knowledge of construction principles/processes requiredKnowledge of proper use of equipment, materials, and supplies used on construction projectsMust have a tape measure, level, and side cutting pliers (Lineman’s)Proven commitment to safety and teamworkAbility to work independently and complete daily activities according to work scheduleAbility to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistencyAge 18+Proof of Identity and Employment AuthorizationFor Colorado locations only, In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB19-085), we are including McCarthy’s good-faith and reasonable estimate of a range of entry level base compensation at the time of the posting. This does not include possible bonus and other benefits which can impact total compensation. Given the dynamic nature of the large-scale commercial construction industry, a candidate’s project portfolio and background can change the role and compensation for which that candidate might be qualified. The title and pay range for this role could change based on candidate qualifications and experience.
