Join us and be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team shaping the future of nutrition!\n\nThe Opportunity:\nA Quality Inspector is responsible for ensuring all dietary supplement products comply with the specifications established by MeriCal and cGMPs. The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting objective & subjective measurements and make determinations if any non-conformances occurred. A Quality Inspector works to guarantee high quality output through random sampling and testing on anything from receiving, in process manufacturing and finished packaged product for release. Items that do not meet specifications are investigated and written documented corrective actions taken to ensure the issue does not occur again.\n\nWhat You’ll Do:\nFamiliar with Good Manufacturing Practices [21 CFR Part 111, 117 & 211].\nAbility to follow instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the materials, components or product.\nConducts sampling and ensures testing against appropriate methods. Sampling must be conducted appropriately using good technique and verifying against dimensional and functional specifications.\nMaintain records of testing and document quantity of defective product per batch.\nCollect samples for Analytical, Microbial, Customer and Retains as applicable and document within the appropriate quality record (batch record, specification, unipoint, etc.).\nAbility to use automated systems a plus. Enter quality data or release in ERP system under the guidance of Quality Inspector III or above.\nPerforms in process testing under the guidance of Quality Inspector II [such as allergen, ATP, Water Activity, Brix, Hardness, Thickness, Friability, etc.].\nVerifies appropriate ID tagging & organization of staged bulk & finished goods on the production floor.\nEnsure verification monitoring equipment [scales, metal detectors, torque meter etc.] is functioning correctly per our established SOPs.\nConduct bulk and final product acceptable quality limit [AQL] inspections per established SOPs. Under Quality Inspector III or above guidance, make disposition decisions as needed.\nResponsible for reviewing cleaning Logs and provide verification signature to release lines.\nCommunicating and alerting management of any unusual occurrence and any pertinent issues that affects raw materials, production and/or packaging.\nMaintain a safe working environment by adhering to company safety policies and procedures.\nMay be required to operate forklift, pallet jacks, etc. if needed.\nPerforms other duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You’ll Bring:\nMust be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and other software necessary to work in the Quality Inspection Department.\nAttention to detail and ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.\nMust be able to read, write and effectively communicate in English.\nKnowledge of or experience in proper sampling technique a plus.\nKnowledge of quality standards and testing methodologies a plus.\n\nEducation Requirements:\nBachelor’s degree (BS or BA) preferred.\nShould be able to lift a maximum of 25-30 lbs. of material when needed.\n\nThe Perks:\nNo-cost vision insurance (yes, you read that right!), employer-paid life insurance, paid company holidays, generous paid time off, sick leave, employee assistance program, and a comprehensive wellness program.\nAffordable medical and dental insurance plans are tailored for you and your dependents.\nExceptional supplemental benefits, including Accident, Critical Illness, Hospitalization indemnity plans, and pet insurance.\n401(k) matching plan and more!\nA reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $18.00-$25.00.
