SimIS is currently recruiting for the listed position.Job Description:SimIS is seeking contractor SME support to provide technical and analytical support to Operational Test and Evaluation Force (T&E) in the definition, conduct, and analysis of structured Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) of US Navy Undersea Warfare systems. As the Data Engineer, you will apply current knowledge of the Navy and multi-service missions, operations, logistics, management, and organizational responsibilities to plan and organize work tasks leading to the successful execution of test planning, collecting data, and performing reconstruction and analysis for complex test and evaluation projects.Required Knowledge, Skills, And AbilitiesBS degree in in Data Science, Computer/Information Science, Information Systems Management, Digitization Management, Management of Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering4 years of demonstrated experience and proficiency in data analysis functions such as data mining, data cleaning, data integration, data reduction/manipulation, data transformation, data visualization, and data analysis of small to large data setsDemonstrated proficiency in data analysis in a programming or statistical software suite such as: R, Python, SAS, SPSS, STATA, Tableau, and/or PowerBI for small to large data setsProficient in the design, implementation, and operation of data management systems to support management of applicable test dataDemonstrated experience in the development of data collection plans to include methods, and storage of raw and processed test dataExperience in the verification and validation of data collection and accreditation plans in support of test planningExperience in the coordination of the equipment necessary to implement data collection during testingTechnical Skills:Knowledge of the incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI)/ Machine Learning (ML) into data analysis software is preferredDatabase ManagementAnalysis of structured and unstructured dataBackend database technologies (SQL, NoSQL, HPC, etc.),Possess a Certified Analytics Professional certificationBenefits:Medical, Dental, and Vision Short Term Disability (at no cost to you) and Long Term DisabilityLife Insurance Flex Spending Accounts (FSA)401(k) Savings Plan Tuition Assistance ProgramProfessional Development Paid Time Off (PTO) 11 Federal Holidays each year SimIS, Inc. is an EOE / M / F / Disability / VET / Drug Free EmployerPowered by JazzHR1NgQbq5rYV
