As an employer, Drylock is committed to supporting you at work and at home, with great work/life balance, career growth tracks, and a top-level benefits package.\n\nSchedule: Quality Lab Technicians work 3 or 4 12-hour shifts from 7am-7pm or 7pm - 7am each week on the 2-2-3 schedule.\n\nPay: $26 per hour\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\nDemonstrate Drylock Core Values: Safety, Respect, Ownership\n\nThis role will spend approximately 30% of the workday in the quality lab and 70% of the time on the production floor conducting inspections, coaching, and providing real-time support for quality initiatives.\n\nQuality Lab Duties (30% of day):\n\nPerform testing in the quality lab (e.g., Rewet, ROA testing, total weights).\nProcess final release of product paperwork.\nEnter test data in the database.\nProvide assistance and guidance to quarantine any product suspected of being defective.\nBack up the Quality Technicians during their absence.\n\nProduction Floor Duties (70% of day):\n\nLead daily 5–10-minute quality huddles at the start of shift per line.\nVisual inspection of product on the production lines.\nWork alongside Production Group Leaders to identify and resolve quality issues (e.g., rework, repack, scrap decisions).\nConduct regular coaching with production staff to reinforce quality awareness:\nExplain common customer complaints.\nClarify critical vs. cosmetic defects.\nEmphasize how quality impacts the customer experience (Retail Quality Standard).\nLead quality-focused engagement activities such as “Defect of the Week” reviews.\nServe as an accessible floor-level resource to:\nAnswer questions related to quality standards.\nReinforce key terminology.\n\nAdditional Duties:\n\nObserve Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and safety procedures.\nComplete special assignments as directed by the Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.\n\nTraining Responsibilities\n\nConduct refresher training when:\n\nDefect trends emerge.\nNew products are being introduced.\nOperators change lines or roles.\n\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or GED required\n2 years of quality preferred but not necessary\n\nJob Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\nStrong command of the English language.
