Radiological (X-Ray) Technologist - Huntersville, North Carolina
Deliver advanced radiologic imaging services in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment during a 12-hour day shift weekend role based in Huntersville, NC. This contract opportunity offers a structured schedule working Friday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., supporting a large, diverse patient population at a Level I Trauma, teaching hospital with specialized stroke and chest pain centers.Responsibilities: Perform a wide range of general and specialized radiologic exams for adults and pediatric patients across emergency, ICU, nursing, and outpatient settings. Operate advanced radiology equipment including Shimadzu RadSpeed, Intelli-C multipurpose, Konica and Shimadzu portable units, as well as GE and Siemens Radiographic/Fluoroscopy systems. Maintain accuracy and quality in imaging while adhering to safety and procedural protocols. Collaborate effectively within a diverse team including lead techs, modality supervisors, and imaging managers. Participate in a fair call rotation for on-call responsibilities, including mandatory weekend and holiday coverage unless pre-approved off. Qualifications: Current ARRT-R certification. Valid BLS certification. Minimum of 1 year clinical experience as a Radiologic Technologist, with a strong ability to handle high patient acuity. Strong communication skills and a positive, teamwork-focused attitude. Comfort working exclusively weekend shifts with no schedule rotations. Ability to use EPIC EMR.
