The role of the Associate Behavior Specialist (ABS) is to work with and teach children with disabilities as part of a dynamic team. The individuals who are chosen to work as an ABS will be trained and supported by MBIS’ team of Behavior Analysts and Behavior Specialists. All team members are trained in the basics of Applied Behavior Analysis and implementation of these strategies. The ABS will conduct structured teaching in the family's home and/or school environments with the objective of fostering individual independence across settings and promoting success.

Area of need: Fairfield (regular client visits within a 20 mile radius)
Hourly Range: $20-$28 (Hourly rate depending on experience, education, and certifications.)
RBT/ABS/Tutor Job Duties
What You’ll Do:
Provide 1:1 play-based instruction to clients using techniques and interventions from the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA).
Work with individuals to decrease undesired behaviors through discrete trial training, natural environment teaching, prompting strategies, and behavior reduction interventions
Implementing lessons to improve communication, social, play, and self-help skills
Activities include implementing lessons to improve communication, adaptive, social, play, and self-help skills; managing maladaptive behavior as it occurs during sessions
Travel to clients’ home and/or school locations to provide services.
Collect onsite data.
Depending on case assignment/client needs, may be required to assist with toileting.
Regularly check company email while working.
Attend training and meetings as required.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required
Current CA driver’s license
Vehicle transportation and valid insurance
TB clearance
Successful completion of a LiveScan
Passion to help others and their families, experience working with individuals w/ disabilities preferred
Physical requirements vary and are based on specific client assignments. Must be willing and physically able to engage in any of the following: push, pull, lift up to 45 pounds, and move quickly, according to client needs. It is necessary to be able to sit on the floor, stoop, stand, walk, and run.
Preferred:
Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification
2 years related experience
Bilingual in Tagalog, Spanish, or other languages!
TRAINING AND SUPERVISION
RBT training provided
RBT supervision provided
BCaBA and BCBA practical experience and supervision available
