The successful candidate will work alongside an on-site contractor while also performing daily building inspections and preventative maintenance.\nPay Competitive pay based on experience\nSchedule Full-Time\nWhat You'll Do As a Building Engineer, you'll help ensure the safe, efficient operation of a 1.3-million-square-foot commercial office campus by:\nOperate, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems\nPerform daily building rounds to identify leaks, equipment issues, and safety concerns\nAssist with steam boiler operation and seasonal startup activities\nComplete preventive maintenance and repairs on building equipment\nRespond promptly to tenant service requests and work orders\nMonitor and maintain chillers, heating and cooling systems, pumps, motors, generators, and building automation controls\nPerform electrical maintenance including lighting, motors, VFDs, transformers, and low-voltage systems\nMaintain plumbing fixtures, piping, pumps, and drainage systems\nComplete minor carpentry and general building repairs\nMaintain maintenance logs, inspection reports, and preventative maintenance documentation\nFollow all OSHA and company safety procedures while maintaining a clean mechanical room and work environment.\nQualifications We're looking for someone who has:\nExperience as a Building Engineer, Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, or HVAC Technician\nExperience working with steam boiler systems (strongly preferred)\nStrong knowledge of commercial HVAC and MEP systems\nExperience performing preventative maintenance and troubleshooting mechanical equipment\nAbility to read and complete work orders and maintenance documentation\nExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently\nStrong customer service skills when interacting with tenants and vendors\nAbility to lift equipment and work in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other building environments\nPreferred Experience Commercial office building maintenance\nBuilding automation systems (BAS)\nChillers, boilers, pumps, and generators\nElectrical troubleshooting\nPreventive maintenance programs\nCMMS work order systems\nWhy Apply?
