This position oversees the Human Resources department and collaborates closely with company leadership to support operational excellence and employee engagement.\r\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\r\nLead and develop the Human Resources team, establishing processes, procedures, and performance standards.\r\nDevelop and implement HR strategies that support company growth and operational objectives.\r\nEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations across multiple states.\r\nOversee employee relations matters, investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.\r\nManage and maintain company employee records, HRIS systems, and personnel documentation.\r\nOversee employee onboarding, orientation, and integration into the company structure.\r\nManage relationships with Professional Employer Organizations (PEOs), benefit providers, and third-party HR vendors.\r\nAdminister and evaluate employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, retirement plans, and leave programs.\r\nDirect workers' compensation administration, claims management, return-to-work programs, and related compliance requirements.\r\nOversee payroll compliance audits, workers' compensation audits, unemployment claims, and other regulatory audits.\r\nDevelop, maintain, and update employee handbooks, policies, and procedures.\r\nCreate and maintain job descriptions, compensation structures, and workforce planning initiatives.\r\nPartner with executive leadership on organizational design, succession planning, and talent management strategies.\r\nSupport mergers, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational growth initiatives as needed.\r\nAnalyze workforce metrics and provide recommendations to leadership regarding staffing, retention, and employee development.\r\nOversee compliance reporting, affirmative action requirements, and employment-related recordkeeping.\r\nManage employee data and reporting across multiple software platforms and systems.\r\nRequired Qualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.\r\nMinimum of 8 years of progressive Human Resources leadership experience.\r\nMinimum of 4 years managing an HR department or HR team.\r\nExtensive knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations.\r\nExperience managing HR operations within a construction, industrial, manufacturing, or related field environment.\r\nExperience managing workers' compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and OSHA-related employee matters.\r\nExperience overseeing payroll compliance and employment tax requirements across multiple states.\r\nExperience administering employee benefit programs and vendor relationships.\r\nExperience working within complex corporate structures that include multiple operating entities.\r\nStrong knowledge of HRIS systems and human capital management platforms.\r\nProficiency with Microsoft Office 365 applications.\r\nDemonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\r\nStrong leadership, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.\r\nAbility to collaborate effectively with executives, managers, and employees at all levels of the organization.\r\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.\r\nExperience with Davis Bacon/Prevailing wages\r\nExperience with state regulated Workmans comp programs / state registration\r\nPreferred Qualifications\r\nMaster's degree in Human Resources, or related field.\r\nSHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, SPHR, or PHR certification.\r\nFive or more years of Human Resources leadership experience within the construction industry.\r\nExperience supporting a multi-state workforce exceeding 500 employees.\r\nExperience with mergers, acquisitions, and organizational integrations.\r\nExperience managing HR functions for a large construction or industrial services contractor.\r\nBenefits\r\nCompetitive salary based on experience\r\nMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance\r\n401(k) with company match\r\nPaid Time Off (PTO)\r\nPaid Holidays\r\nProfessional Development Opportunities\r\nWork Environment\r\nThis position is based at the corporate office and requires regular interaction with employees, managers, executives, clients, and external partners.
