Laboratory Scientist/ Laboratory Technician

DescriptionThe MLS/MLT provides laboratory support services for the hospital including but not limited to inpatient, peri-op, and emergency room by collecting, processing, and transporting specimens in a timely and accurate manner. This role supports patient care by assisting with point-of-care testing, specimen handling, and clerical tasks related to laboratory operations while maintaining a safe, professional, and patient-centered environment.RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a phlebotomy and medical laboratory training program with a Associate's Degree or Bachelor's DegreePrevious experience in a hospital, laboratory, or emergency department setting preferredCurrent certification as MLT/MLS, ASCP preferredKnowledge of specimen collection techniques, basic laboratory procedures, and infection control practices
