Learn more at www.cfd-research.comCFD Research Corporation is seeking an experienced industrial controls engineer to join our team and play a pivotal role in the design, development, and integration of complex systems for our customers. In this role you will support both rapid prototyping and detailed hardware development. This individual will work with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate and support all aspects of control system design, development, and test. This role is based out of our Engineering Test Center in Hollywood, AL. The ideal candidate will have experience in industrial motor control system automation, Rockwell Automation PLC hardware, and supporting electrical system knowledge.Basic QualificationsCandidate must be a US Citizen and meet eligibility to obtain (and maintain) a Secret ClearanceBachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other relevant ABET-accredited STEM degree with 5 years of relevant experienceMotor control center design, layout, integration, and testLow voltage (LV) to medium voltage (MV) Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and programmable logic controller (PLC) integrationProficiency in Rockwell Automation PLC ProgrammingWorking knowledge of Studio 5000 and Factory Talk softwareTesting and debugging of PLC control systemDesired QualificationsAbility to establish network communications and remote Windows workstationsKnowledge of National Instruments DAQ systemsElectrical system design, layout, integration, and testExperience in developing and interpreting electrical schematicsComfortable working in a prototyping environmentKnowledge of applicable safety codesLocation: This individual will work onsite in Hollywood, AL.Benefits: CFD Research offers competitive salaries and excellent employee benefits, including an employer matching 401(k) and Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
