Thunderbolt Solutions operates in an environment that fosters transparency, innovation, collaboration, inclusion and a learning mindset focused on solutions that enhance employee engagement.\n\nJob Description\nThe NSC Senior Electronics Engineer – C4ISR is responsible for the design, integration, testing, and lifecycle support of advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems. This role supports mission-critical programs by developing and sustaining complex electronic and communications architectures in maritime or defense environments.\n\nResponsibilities\n\nProvide subject matter expertise on a variety of C4ISR systems for the USCG NSC Acquisition Program at USCG Headquarters in Washington, DC.\n\nProvide testing support of C4ISR systems.\n\nEvaluate implications of planned engineering changes in support of major shipbuilding acquisition and repair.\n\nSupport may include cost analysis, procurement support, and the review and editing of existing work products and analyses.\n\nEditing of existing work products and analyses includes providing recommendations and technical subject matter expertise to the Program management integrated product teams and Program leads.\n\nProvide support in shipboard design and software and systems integration for all shipboard C4ISR and weapons systems and the following certification programs: TEMPEST, Information Assurance, combat and weapons systems safety.\n\nProvide support to troubleshoot system failures or integration issues and planning/management of certifications and provide resolutions to rectify those troubles/failures/issues.\n\nCoordinate and monitor the shipboard C4ISR effort and advise the various engineering support agencies and contractors participating in system development, such as SPAWAR, SPAWAR System Support Centers, and the USCG Program’s C4ISR Domain, COMDT (CG-933), COMDT (CG-6) and COMDT (CG-2) with regard to topology development, general arrangement changes, hardware specifications development, configuration management, assessment/certification/accreditation and C4ISR integration.\n\nOther related duties as assigned.\n\nPosition Requirements\n\nShall have a related BS; strong preference given to candidates with a related masters degree. Directly related professional experience may be considered in lieu of degrees.\n\nShall have at least ten years demonstrated experience with shipboard C4ISR systems to include design and integration of navigation and combat weapon systems.\n\nDirect experience shall include extensive knowledge of Navy SPAWAR GFE systems and their technical interface with installed shipboard systems.\n\nShall have at least one year demonstrated experience with shipbuilding acquisitions.\n\nDemonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills.\n\nCurrent US DOD Secret clearance.\n\nMust be a US Citizen.\n\nPay & Benefits\nThunderbolt Solutions offers competitive pay, paid time off (PTO) and benefits (health & 401(k)).\n\nPay Transparency Disclosure (D.C. Applicants)\nIn accordance with Washington, D.C. law, the good faith salary range for this position is $140,000 – $155,000 per year .
