Maintenance Technician
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a central role in both automation, facilities, and machinery initiatives. You will work directly with Operations to troubleshoot equipment in real-time, implement upgrades, and ensure system reliability.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAutomationSupport end-to-end implementation of automation and manufacturing upgrades, including mechanical/electrical integration and field installation.Perform daily hands-on troubleshooting, calibration, and adjustments on automation equipment, conveyors, robotics, and precision manufacturing systems. Respond to production line disruptions and ensure minimal downtime through quick intervention and root cause analysis.Work with mechanical, electrical and PLC suppliers to investigate and correct issues with equipment.General Maintenance / FacilitiesPerforms basic preventative maintenance on equipment/machinery and physical structures to ensure the functionality and condition does not deteriorate. Such activities may include cleaning or lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery, devices, or control instrumentsRepairs or replaces defective machine/equipment parts, or physical structures using hand tools and power tools, and reassembles machine/equipmentManages outside services including HVAC, Safety, Cleaning service or maintenance.Respond to non-scheduled service calls as required by 2nd shift or weekend operationsCoordinates the installation and relocation of equipmentEnsure compliance with appropriate external regulations and internal maintenance and Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures.Knowledge of safety protocols and LOTO proceduresMaintains accurate records on work requests and completion, type of maintenance or repair work, and other similar recordsAbides by, enforces, and participates in the implementation and ongoing oversight of all company safety standards and regulationsOther duties and projects as assignedQualifications/Experience5-7 years maintenance and automation experience requiredWorking knowledge of Allen Bradley PLC softwareBasic computer skills to be able to use programs for work orders and parts management and ordering. Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methodsWorking knowledge of tools, power tools, common appliances, and devicesGood problem-solving skills with the ability to apply common sense understanding to comprehend and carry out instructions, both written and verbalAbility and/or willingness to drive a forklift (stand-up or sit-down) Self-motivated and driven to exceed goalsAbility to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing prioritiesKnowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook (email)) with basic skills and experienceThis position will require the candidate to pass a pre-employment drug screen TravelNot Required.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of this job, frequently will be required to sit; type; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls (some repetitive motion); and talk or hear.Also, will be required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, stoop, kneel, and crouch and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
