We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer who thrives in building the systems, services, and infrastructure that power a high-performance trading platform.\nThe Opportunity\nWe are hiring a Backend Engineer to design, build, and scale the core services and infrastructure behind the Tradeify ecosystem. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working deep in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and high-throughput APIs — and who takes ownership of reliability and performance at scale.\nYou will work closely with Product, Data, and Engineering teams to deliver robust backend systems that directly power the experience of traders globally. This is a hands-on role based out of our Boca Raton, FL office.\nWhat You Will Do\nAPI & Service Development\nDesign and build performant, scalable REST APIs and WebSocket services\nDevelop and maintain backend microservices using Python, Node.js, Go, or C#\nOwn features end-to-end from schema design through deployment and monitoring\nBuild integrations with third-party trading platforms, market data providers, and internal tools\nData & Infrastructure\nDesign and optimize relational and NoSQL data models across PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB\nBuild and maintain event-driven pipelines and message queue systems\nWork with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerized deployments\nManage caching strategies, background job processing, and async workflows\nReliability & Engineering Excellence\nEnsure system reliability, security, and performance across all environments\nImplement observability — logging, metrics, alerting, and distributed tracing\nContribute to CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and deployment automation\nParticipate in architecture discussions and technical planning sessions\nWrite clean, well-tested, and maintainable backend code\nTroubleshoot production incidents and drive root cause resolution\nWhat We Are Looking For\n4+ years of backend software engineering experience\nStrong proficiency in one or more backend languages: Python, Node.js, Go, or C#\nDeep experience designing and building scalable REST APIs and WebSocket services\nSolid understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and query optimization\nExperience with caching layers (Redis, Memcached) and async processing patterns\nFamiliarity with message brokers and event streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS, or similar)\nExperience working with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Docker/Kubernetes\nStrong grasp of system design principles — distributed systems, fault tolerance, and scalability\nAbility to work independently and move quickly in a startup environment\nStrong communication and collaboration skills\nNice to Have\nExperience within fintech, trading, crypto, or financial systems\nExposure to real-time systems or market data applications (order books, tick data, trade execution)\nExperience with high-volume or time-series data systems such as TimescaleDB or ClickHouse\nFamiliarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Pulumi)\nExperience with gRPC or other binary protocols for low-latency service communication\nBackground in building compliance, risk, or audit trail systems\nFamiliarity with AI-assisted development workflows and engineering automation\nWhy Join Tradeify\nJoin a rapidly scaling fintech and trading platform\nWork on products used by a global community of traders\nHigh ownership and ability to make direct impact\nHybrid environment in Boca Raton, FL with a fast-moving startup culture\nOpportunity to work across APIs, infrastructure, data pipelines, and platform architecture\nCollaborative, ambitious, and highly driven team environment\nA Note on Our Hiring Process\nAt Tradeify Futures, we use AI-assisted tools as part of our recruiting process, which may include resume screening, application review, and candidate communication.
