This role requires deep knowledge of infrastructure strategy, CMDB governance, operational architecture, and service management disciplines.\r\nThe Role\r\nAs a Cloud Architect, you will define and govern cloud and infrastructure architectures that enable secure, scalable, and operationally effective technology platforms. You will work closely with enterprise architects, platform engineering teams, service management functions, and client stakeholders to align technology investments with business outcomes.\r\nYou will be responsible for creating target-state architectures, developing CMDB and configuration management strategies, and ensuring operational excellence across cloud and on-premise infrastructure estates.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nEnterprise & Infrastructure Architecture\r\nDevelop enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud architecture strategies aligned to business objectives.\r\nDefine target-state architectures, roadmaps, standards, and governance frameworks.\r\nLead architecture reviews and provide technical assurance across programmes and projects.\r\nEnsure architecture decisions support security, resilience, performance, and operational requirements.\r\nCloud Architecture\r\nDesign and implement cloud-native and hybrid-cloud solutions across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.\r\nEstablish cloud adoption frameworks, landing zones, and governance models.\r\nSupport cloud migration, modernisation, and infrastructure transformation initiatives.\r\nDefine Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation strategies.\r\nCMDB & Service Configuration Management\r\nDefine and implement CMDB strategy, governance, and operating models.\r\nEstablish Configuration Management practices and controls across infrastructure and cloud services.\r\nEnsure accurate service mapping, dependency modelling, and asset relationships.\r\nDrive CMDB maturity improvements and alignment with ITIL and Service Management processes.\r\nOperational Architecture\r\nDesign operational architectures that support availability, observability, resilience, and service continuity.\r\nDevelop operational models covering monitoring, incident management, change management, and platform support.\r\nWork with operational teams to improve service reliability and operational efficiency.\r\nEnsure architecture decisions support DevOps, SRE, and modern operational practices.\r\nStakeholder Engagement\r\nEngage with senior stakeholders, technical leadership, and client teams.\r\nTranslate business requirements into strategic technology solutions.\r\nProvide thought leadership and mentoring across architecture and engineering communities.\r\nEssential Skills & Experience\r\nSignificant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture, or Cloud Architecture roles.\r\nStrong understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud.\r\nProven experience developing and implementing CMDB strategies and Configuration Management frameworks.\r\nDeep knowledge of infrastructure management, operations, and service delivery models.\r\nExperience designing hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.\r\nStrong understanding of ITIL, Service Management, and Operational Architecture principles.\r\nExperience with architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or equivalent.\r\nKnowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tooling (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep, Ansible, etc.).\r\nExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills.\r\nDesirable Experience\r\nExperience within regulated, enterprise, or public sector environments.\r\nKnowledge of ServiceNow CMDB and Service Mapping.\r\nFamiliarity with DevOps, SRE, Platform Engineering, and FinOps practices.\r\nExperience with security architecture and compliance frameworks.\r\nRelevant cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP).\r\nTOGAF, ITIL, or equivalent architecture certifications.\r\nEmployee Benefits\r\nTraining – All team members are offered a number of options in terms of personal development, whether it is technical led, business acumen or methodologies.
