This role is critical in leading pre- and post-silicon test engineering activities to support the development and high-volume manufacturing of advanced integrated circuit (IC) products. You will collaborate with global teams across design, verification, validation, product engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure robust and efficient product delivery.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop comprehensive pre-silicon characterization test plans based on product features.\nPerform test program development and ATE board design for both existing and new product initiatives.\nSupport R&D and Operations teams to ensure manufacturability and compliance with Microchip’s Quality System requirements.\nDebug test programs and execute characterization plans.\nAnalyze silicon performance, yield, and device marginalities.\nDrive cost and quality improvements across wafer fabrication, assembly, probe, final test, and supply chain.\nAdditional Responsibilities\nMentor and coach junior engineers.\nConduct production test yield analysis and root cause investigations.\nSupport analysis of customer returns and drive enhancements in manufacturing and test processes.\nCollaborate with customer quality and applications teams to resolve issues and ensure high customer satisfaction.\nDesign and develop PCBs for IC environmental qualification.\nAnalyze multi-source data and generate reports for characterization, qualification, and yield analysis.\nRequirements/Qualifications:\nBSEE with 12+ years of experience in semiconductor IC development.\nStrong understanding of digital and analog circuits, from transistor to system level.\nHands-on experience with ATE hardware/software development (e.g., Diamond X, J750, Uflex).\nExpertise in silicon development, validation, qualification, and correlation methodologies.\nAdvanced statistical data analysis skills; proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Perl) and tools (e.g., YieldHub).\nFamiliarity with version control systems (GIT, SVN, Perforce).\nProficient in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.\nSkilled in using bench lab equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, etc.).\nExperience working with customers to address technical and logistical concerns.\nProven leadership in multi-geographic product development from concept to production.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills in English.\nFlexibility to collaborate with global teams and accommodate lab usage schedules.\nPreferred:\nMSEE\nKnowledge of IC packaging, testing, and manufacturing technologies.\nExperience with TS16949 or IATF16949 quality standards.\nUnderstanding of ISO-26262 Automotive Functional Safety.\nExpertise in generating test procedures and plans.\nProficiency in PCB schematic design, layout, assembly, and debugging.\nExperience in IC failure analysis.\nTravel Time:\n0% - 25%\nPhysical Attributes:\nHearing, Seeing, Talking, Works Alone, Works Around Others\nPhysical Requirements:\n10% standing, 10% walking. 80% sitting, 100% in doors; Usual business hours\nPay Range:\nWe offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry.
