With more than 500 employees worldwide, Sciton has been recognized as a USA TODAY Top Workplace for three consecutive years from 2022 to 2025.If you want to work on meaningful technology that directly improves patient outcomes and be part of a company that values curiosity, ownership, and excellence, we would love to meet you.Key ResponsibilitiesIndependently build optical and mechanical precision sub-assemblies using hand tools, fixtures, and specialized equipmentTrain and mentor assemblers on assembly techniques and processing requirementsPartner with Engineering to build prototype and pilot productsCollaborate with Engineering to identify and implement process improvementsRedline bills of materials and process documentation to support controlled document updatesAnalyze, troubleshoot, and repair returned or nonconforming assembliesUse precision measuring devices and equipment to ensure proper form, fit, and functionPerform in-process quality inspections on components and assembliesCollect, kit, and maintain materials required for sub-assembliesExecute standard assembly tasks, including component installation, electrical wiring, hand soldering, cable harnessing, plumbing, bonding, cleaning, labeling, and packagingMaintain a safe, clean, and compliant work environment in accordance with procedures, protocols, and industry regulationsQualificationsExperience building complex electro-mechanical and/or opto-mechanical assembliesDemonstrated ability to identify process improvements and recognize defects or material deficienciesProven troubleshooting skills for moderately complex issues, with the ability to recommend effective solutionsAbility to support, guide, and assist less experienced operators3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing assembly roleStrong manual dexterity and excellent hand–eye coordinationAbility to stand or sit for extended periods (up to 2 hours at a time)Ability to routinely bend, reach, stoop, push, and pullAbility to lift up to 20 poundsStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentCompensation And BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $25 - $29/hr.
