It also includes maintaining documentation and reporting systems for manufacturing operations.\nThis is a highly independent role with significant organizational impact, requiring data-driven decision-making to support operational success and company growth.\nPrimary Duties & Responsibilities:\nCollaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to review product and equipment designs for Design for Manufacturability (DFM).\nContinuously improve overall manufacturing efficiency through the development of new techniques and by incorporating feedback from assembly personnel and the Manufacturing team.\nIdentify and implement product design changes that enhance manufacturability, quality, and cost-effectiveness.\nProvide support across all stages of the production process, from Receiving Inspection through final shipment.\nDefine and develop production equipment solutions for both low- and high-volume manufacturing environments.\nLead initiatives to evaluate and integrate new concepts, automation technologies, and innovative approaches for process development and improvement.\nCreate detailed Assembly and Test Instructions for the production of infrared (IR) camera systems.\nSpecify and/or design tooling and assembly methods to optimize production floor operations.\nCompile and analyze test data to establish process parameters and material specifications.\nImplement Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to improve product traceability and process control.\nGenerate rework instructions for non-conforming materials to ensure quality and minimize waste.\nJob Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.\nMinimum of 3+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.\nSolid understanding of manufacturing processes and workflows.\nProficiency in Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability analysis.\nExperience with Gauge Studies and Measurement System Analysis (MSA).\nFamiliarity with calibration processes and industry standards.\nAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.\nStrong cross-functional collaboration skills, with flexibility to support tasks beyond the Quality department as needed.\nWillingness to travel 5–10% to supplier or customer locations.\nWorking knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and datum structures.\nUnderstanding of ISO standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.\nExperience with metrology and inspection methods, including contact and optical CMMs, handheld tools, and electronic test instruments.\nKnowledge of audit processes and requirements.\nAwareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) controls and best practices.\nFamiliarity with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Six Sigma methodologies; Green or Black Belt certification preferred.\nApplicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce.\nPhysical Requirements\nAbility to sit or stand for extended periods during design, testing, and production oversight activities.\nManual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and computer systems.\nAbility to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.\nCapability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach in manufacturing environments.\nVisual acuity to read, schematics, and perform detailed inspections.\nTolerance for working in environments with moderate noise, temperature fluctuations, and exposure to manufacturing materials.\nAbility to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection, closed toe shoes.\nOccasional climbing of stairs or ladders to access equipment or elevated work areas.\n\nSalary Range:\n$90,800.00-$121,100.000\nPay Transparency\nThe anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate.
