This role will be faced with many interdisciplinary tasks spanning across structural, mechanical and electrical engineering all in support of Array’s commercial activities. Timeliness and accuracy of work is essential in this position. The ideal candidate will thrive in growing strong customer relationships and utilizing consultative selling in order to translate customer needs into optimal Array solutions. This position may require occasional evening and weekend hours.\nKey Job Responsibilities:\nDevelop in-depth technical knowledge of Array’s products, product configurations and site application.\nAnalyze and cost optimize projects for competitive positioning of the Array offer.\nProvide preliminary tracker and foundation designs and coordinate other related design activities required to meet the project needs.\nDevelop expertise in proprietary engineering tools and processes.\nDetermine technical requirements that influence a project design that include wind loading, snow loading, seismic loading and corrosion.\nSupport contract activities to ensure design requirements have been met and Array specifications are defined.\nProvide timely feedback on questions and RFI’s (Requests for Information) related to project or product design.\nWork with a geographically dispersed sales team to achieve industry-leading technical sales support.\nCreate and deliver technical presentations for customer meetings.\nReview details of Array’s quotes and pricing to confirm alignment with technical offer details.\nManage personal workload and daily priorities within Array’s work tasking system.\nPrepare technical contract exhibits.\nPrepare Bills of Materials for the Array product offering.\nPrepare preliminary tracker system models as required considering mechanical, structural, or energy production performance.\nSupply technical documentation for sales activities including responding to proposal packages.\nProvide timely feedback on questions related to project or product design.\nDeliver technical presentations related to Array’s products and features.\nProvide customer pre-sales engineering support on-site or at the customer’s office as needed.\nBuild strong technical relationships at the customer level.\nPerform other duties as assigned.\nQualifications:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Aeronautical, or Electrical Engineering; an advanced degree is desired.\nMinimum of 5 years working in the engineering field.\nMinimum of 5 years of experience working with mechanical or structural systems.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office.\nStrong technical skills and the ability to effectively communicate technical information.\nOutstanding communication, presentation, interpersonal, and multi-tasking abilities.\nAbility to work well independently as well as part of a team across multiple organizations.\nAbility to thrive within a fast-paced, smaller company environment.\nPreferred qualifications:\nAdvanced engineering degree.\nExperience in solar, renewables, or power generation equipment.\nDetail-oriented and deadline-driven with excellent problem-solving abilities.\nExperience with 2D AutoCAD required; experience with SolidWorks desired.\nExperience with PV performance modeling, PVSyst preferred.\nExperience working in Salesforce highly desired.\n\nAt Array Tech, Inc., we strive to lead with our culture, and believe that our people are a key enabler of our future state.
