This position is an Entry level role in our Product Development Group. In this role, the Software Developer I will work as part of an Agile SCRUM team building the features for the next generation of McLeod’s software products.\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities:\nDevelop code in Java and TypeScript for both new and existing applications\nEngage in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) within an Agile framework.\nExplore a variety of opportunities tailored to your skills and experience.\nAdhere to provided specifications to achieve programming goals and objectives accurately and on time.\nTackle complex problems, thrive in a fast-growing and innovative company, manage multiple projects with varying deadlines, serve customers, and create effective solutions.\nTroubleshoot and address customer business challenges through software enhancements and modifications.\nEvaluate user stories and acceptance criteria to identify necessary programming changes for solutions.\n\nCompetencies:\nAbility to learn internal software and systems\nStrong oral and written communication skills\nAbility to manage competing projects and priorities\nAbility to work as a member of a team and independently\nStrong time management skills\nAbility to communicate technical information to a variety of stakeholders\n\nQualifications\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.\nEducation/Experience:\nBachelor's degree, required; or 3+ years of software development related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nStrong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns.
