You'll deliver hands-on coding lessons to students in grades K–8, using Code For Fun's ready-made curriculum - so you can focus on what matters most: making the experience great for kids.\nThis is a part-time, in-person position running Monday through Friday during the fall semester.\nLocations\nPrograms will be held on-site at partner schools in the following areas:\nPalo Alto\nMenlo Park\nRedwood City\nYou must live in Palo Alto or an adjacent city to be considered for this role.\nSpecific school sites will be assigned based on availability and scheduling. Instructors must be able to travel independently to their assigned site(s).\nWhat You'll Do\nDeliver engaging coding lessons to students ages 5–14 using Code For Fun lesson plans\nBuild positive relationships with students, parents, and school-site staff\nArrive on time and fully prepared — every session, every day\nCommunicate promptly and professionally with the Code For Fun team and parents (email responses expected within 24 hours on school days)\nTrack attendance and report any student or site concerns to your supervisor\nMake class fun — your energy sets the tone\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired:\nReliable personal transportation, valid California driver's license, and current auto insurance (you will drive to assigned school sites)\nFamiliarity with programming or computer science concepts (any language or platform is fine — we'll train you on our curriculum)\nStrong communication skills in English, both with kids and with adults\nPunctual, dependable, and responsive — if something comes up, you let us know promptly\nAbility to pass a background check and provide proof of a negative TB test\nPreferred:\nExperience teaching or working with elementary or middle school-aged children\nComfort with multiple age groups (K–2, 3–5, 6–8)\nPublic Speaking skills are a plus\nA genuine enthusiasm for sharing technology with the next generation\nSchedule\nMonday through Friday, after school hours (generally 2:30pm-5pm)\nFall semester (exact start and end dates provided upon offer)\nPart-time hours (specific schedule varies by site assignment)\nCompensation\nCompetitive hourly rate\nPart-time / W-2 position\nAbout Code For Fun\nCode For Fun is a non-profit organization dedicated to making computer science education accessible and exciting for kids ages 5–18.
