We are seeking a motivated, collaborative Mid-Level Systems Engineer to support mission architecture, interoperability, technical planning, and systems engineering assessments for a Department of Defense customer environment.\nIn this role, you’ll evaluate program engineering and architecture documentation, identify technical risks, support independent technical reviews, and help improve the quality and efficiency of engineering review processes. You’ll work alongside a team that values innovation, technical excellence, and continuous growth.\nWhat You’ll Do\nReview Information Support Plans and Systems Engineering Plans for completeness, accuracy, architecture alignment, and JITC compliance.\nAssess system interfaces, information exchanges, dependencies, technical baselines, and operational environments.\nDraft prioritized technical comments with supporting rationale and corrective recommendations.\nEnter approved comments into JASM.\nSupport SETR/ITRA activities by evaluating technical readiness, identifying risks, and advising Technical Warrant Holders.\nDevelop technical briefs, decision-support materials, and review documentation.\nParticipate in technical meetings, review boards, working sessions, and biweekly architecture working groups.\nPromote architecture best practices and support model walkthroughs across program offices.\nDevelop an AI-enabled tool to automate repetitive SEP review tasks.\nWhat You’ll Bring\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor’s degree in a related technical field.\n3+ years of professional systems engineering experience.\nExperience with systems engineering, architecture, interoperability, or technical planning documentation.\nKnowledge of system interfaces, technical baselines, dependencies, and operational environments.\nExperience supporting technical reviews, risk assessments, or decision-support activities.\nStrong analytical, technical writing, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to work effectively in a customer-facing team environment.\nAbility to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting DoD, Department of the Navy, or other government programs.\nFamiliarity with ISPs, SEPs, JITC requirements, JASM, SETR, or ITRA processes.\nKnowledge of mission architecture, enterprise architecture, MBSE, or digital engineering.\nExperience briefing technical findings to engineering leaders or review boards.\nExperience with generative AI, scripting, or workflow automation.\nAdditional Considerations\nThis is a full-time position supporting mission-focused customer environments.\nOutside employment or activities must not create conflicts of interest with company or customer responsibilities.\nWhy G2 Ops?
