Our people and projects are focused on supporting long-term sustainable growth and energy security.\n\nSummary\n\nThe Assistant Project Manager is a key member of the project team, responsible for supporting the planning, procurement coordination, monitoring, and supervision of contracts throughout the engineering, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning process for utility-scale solar projects.\n\nThis role may manage external engineers, contractors, and suppliers under the direction of a more senior Project Manager and may support multiple small projects or one large project. The Assistant Project Manager works closely with Project Managers, Directors, and internal design, administration, finance, and supply chain teams to help ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.\n\nDuties and Responsibilities\n\nResponsible for fulfilling Company quality goals on assigned projects.\nResponsible for ensuring 100% customer satisfaction on assigned projects.\nSupport the management of the system design and construction process for all assigned projects.\nSupport the management of cost and schedule goals for assigned projects through project closeout.\nCreate, oversee, and track all schedule aspects for assigned projects, from pre-approval through project closeout, to help ensure on-time delivery.\nLeverage knowledge of system delivery milestones to capture reduced construction costs wherever possible.\nCoordinate and process purchase orders, invoices, payment applications, and draw requests.\nAssist in the generation of regular reporting to internal management teams and external clients.\nUpdate internal budgeting and cost expenditure reports.\nOversee document management for assigned projects.\nSupport compliance, safety, and performance on all assigned projects.\nFacilitate communication between consultants, contractors, and third parties for interrelated scopes and necessary coordination, including RFIs, submittals, and engineering review.\nConduct safety and quality site walks.\nMonitor field housekeeping activities for compliance with job safety requirements and standards.\nSupport oversight of multiple suppliers, consultants, contractors, and temporary leased installation labor.\nServe as a corporate representative to the customer, permitting agencies, contractors, and other project personnel.\nOversee bill of materials, material ordering, logistics, and project schedule.\nMaintain familiarity with engineering drawing sets, project scopes of work, interconnection agreements, and power purchase agreements.\n\nKnowledge and Skills\n\nStrong familiarity with the utility-scale solar project lifecycle, engineering, equipment, construction means and methods, and key stakeholders.\nComputer savvy, with strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); MS Project is required.\nStrong analytical skills.\nWell-developed and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels of the organization, as well as external customers and vendors.\nAbility to work in a team environment with a customer service focus.\nOrganizational skills to manage time effectively, prioritize work, and handle multiple deadlines.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nMust be willing and able to travel frequently, often on short notice.\n\nQualifications\n\nAssociate degree or equivalent experience required; bachelor’s degree preferred.\nUtility-scale solar experience required.\nAdditional experience with electrical systems and wiring strongly preferred.\n\nExperience\n\nStrong technical, supervisory, and project management skills based on construction industry experience.\nHV substation and/or general contracting experience preferred.\nProven ability to successfully procure, monitor, and assess subcontracted construction functions such as electrical contractors and commercial roofers.\n\nWhat We Offer\n\nCompetitive compensation: $110,000 to $130,000 annually plus a 15% annual bonus.\nHealth, dental, prescription, and vision care for U.S. team members starts on your first day of employment.\nRetention bonuses.\nFour weeks of vacation and three weeks of sick leave annually, plus 11 paid holidays.\n401(k) plan with a 3% nonelective employer contribution.\nHybrid working environment with three days per week in office.\nMonthly personal phone bill reimbursement of up to $100 and a monthly commuter benefit of up to $150.\nLifestyle Savings Account and more.\n\nWhy You’ll Want to Work with Us\n\nOur company is a place where you can be yourself and grow — a place where your ideas and opinions matter.\n\nBe you: We pride ourselves on being an inclusive community, where every individual is valued and treated with respect.\nBe responsible: Our culture is driven by our core values.
