The Hydrovac uses pressurized water and a vacuum system to quickly, safely, precisely and cleanly excavate around utilities and pipelines.\nEssential Qualifications, Duties, and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)\nMust have either a CDL Class A or B with air brakes & tanker endorsements (Hazmat endorsement not required);\nClean driving record & a minimum of 1-year CDL driving experience;\nPrevious Hydrovac or trenching experience is preferred;\nTWIC Card is required;\nAbility to travel & work out of town/state for extended periods of time;\nAbility to be on-call 24/7 for emergency response work;\nDriving and operating Hydrovac units;\nCompleting tasks associated with daylighting excavation, trenching, and shoring;\nNinety percent or more of the job's work time is spent operating the on-board hydro-vacuum system outside the truck performing non-destructive excavation around sensitive underground piping and cables.;\nOther Hydrovac work consists of tank entry, cleaning and vacuuming, mobilization of equipment, attending training sessions, paperwork, truck maintenance, safety meetings, etc.;\nRigging equipment in and out;\nPerforming pre and post trip inspections;\nCompleting all required paperwork on a daily basis\n\nWork Environment:\nWhile performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet or humid conditions; work near moving mechanical parts; work in high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of radiation and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.\nPhysical Demands:\nThe employee must regularly lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.\nHydrovac Operators must be willing to comply with PCM Health, Safety, and Environmental rules and regulations.
