This role ensures continuous material flow to prevent production delays and supports safe, efficient plant operations. The Loader works closely with production, inventory, and supervisory teams to maintain organization, meet daily output targets, and uphold quality and safety standards.\n\nSKILLS AND ABILITIES\nLoad and unload raw materials, fabricated components, and finished products at designated production stations (weld, paint, roll form, assembly/unit production).\nStage materials and parts to support upcoming production runs and maintain workflow continuity\nTransport materials between departments using forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, or other material handling equipment\nRemove completed parts from production lines and transfer to next process or storage location\nInspect materials for visible damage or defects prior to loading or movement\nVerify part numbers, labels, and quantities to ensure accuracy before staging or distribution\nMaintain proper organization of materials, racks, pallets, and staging areas\nFollow 5S and lean manufacturing practices to promote efficiency and workplace organization\nCommunicate material shortages or workflow concerns to supervisors or team leads\nSupport production operators as needed to maintain throughput and minimize downtime\nAbility to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment while maintaining attention to detail\nAbility to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently\nStrong teamwork and communication skills to coordinate with multiple departments\nBasic understanding of production processes such as welding, painting, roll forming, or assembly preferred\nAbility to lift and handle up to 50 lbs safely and consistently\nEDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING\nHigh School Diploma or GED preferred\nPrevious manufacturing, warehouse, or material handling experience preferred\nForklift certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days\nExperience working in a metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing environment is a plus\nWORK ENVIROMENT\nThis role is primarily based on the production floor within a manufacturing facility. The position involves exposure to machinery, welding operations, paint processes, moving equipment, and industrial noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, gloves, and hearing protection is required.\n\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThis position requires standing and walking for extended periods in an industrial environment. Duties include frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and maneuvering materials up to 50 lbs. The role involves bending, reaching, climbing, and safely navigating around equipment and production lines.
