The successful candidate will play a critical role in migrating the remaining 10-15% of our core data and COBOL applications from a mainframe environment to the AWS cloud. This is a senior-level position that requires significant hands-on expertise in mainframe technologies and a strong understanding of modern cloud infrastructure.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead the migration of legacy COBOL and DB2 applications to AWS cloud services.\nEnsure data sets and data structures meet Pitech architecture standards during the migration process.\nWrite and integrate data into the DSVDS (analytic database).\nCollaborate with the Data Modernization team (Deloitte) who handles data pipelines.\nRetire legacy system components, including stored procedures, service requests, tables, and batch jobs/files, once migration is complete.\nAct as a dedicated individual contributor focused on both modernization (approx. 70% initially) and retirement tasks.\nRequired Technical Skills (Must-Haves)\nMainframe Technologies: COBOL, DB2, SQL\nJob Control: Strong experience with JCL (Job Control Language)\nMainframe Tools: Control-M, Endevor, BFC, Smart TS\nNice-to-Have Technical Skills (AWS - Increasing Focus)\nExperience with core AWS services, including:\nS3\nLambda\nAurora (for DB2 migration)\nDynamoDB\nGlue\nQualifications\nExperience: Requiring 8+ years of relevant experience.
