The technician will work alongside remote network engineers to troubleshoot fiber connectivity, network devices, and physical network infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite Smart Hands / Hands & Feet support.Troubleshoot fiber patching and network connectivity issues.Troubleshoot physical connectivity involving fiber optics, switches, racks, patch panels, and structured cabling.Perform fiber cleaning and MPO troubleshooting.Use and interpret VFL (Visual Fault Locator) readings.Perform basic Layer 1 / Layer 2 troubleshooting, including Ethernet connectivity, switch ports, patching, and link status.Coordinate with remote network engineers and provide timely project updates.Required Skills & Experience4+ years of network/IT infrastructure experience, preferably in a data center environment.Hands-on data center experience.Good understanding of Ethernet, switching, VLANs, ports, and physical connectivity.Experience with fiber optics, fiber patching, and structured cabling.Familiarity with switches, routers, racks, patch panels, and network equipment.Experience with fiber cleaning and MPO troubleshooting.Ability to use and interpret a VFL.Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with remote engineering teams.Required ToolsVFL (Visual Fault Locator)Basic networking toolkitRequired PPESmartphone with reliable internet access for project communicationEngagement Model: Freelance / On-Demand assignments are scheduled based on client requirements, with availability confirmed in advance.Interested?
