This role combines strong people leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep technical expertise to ensure successful delivery from concept through NPI and certification.\r\nYou will grow and mentor a high-performing hardware team, drive engineering excellence, and oversee end-to-end hardware development including architecture, design, testing, and product qualification.\r\nKey Responsibilities\r\nLead, mentor, and develop a team of 5-10 hardware engineers, providing regular feedback, coaching, and career growth support.\r\nRecruit, hire, and retain top engineering talent while fostering an inclusive, innovation-driven culture.\r\nEmpower team members to contribute ideas, present solutions, and take ownership of their work.\r\nPromote psychological safety, healthy team dynamics, and high engagement.\r\nBuild and maintain strong collaboration with leaders and managers across programs to ensure seamless execution of multi-disciplinary projects.\r\nProgram & Project Management\r\nSupport product managers and product owners in defining requirements, estimating effort, and planning new features and products.\r\nPrioritize engineering activities aligned with business needs and organizational goals.\r\nCollaborate with Project Managers to track progress, risks, timelines, and deliverables, ensuring clear communication with internal and external stakeholders.\r\nChampion engineering processes, quality standards, and continuous improvement across the development lifecycle.\r\nTechnical Leadership\r\nLead the hardware engineering function across controllers and displays programs, ensuring technical excellence and scalability.\r\nOversee specifications, requirements documentation, architecture decisions and design documentation.\r\nCoordinate internal and external development resources (card manufacturers, JDM partners, mechanical design, sourcing, industrialization).\r\nEnsure rigorous internal hardware and firmware testing, including test definition, prioritization, and quality validation.\r\nEnsure products meet qualification, reliability, and compliance requirements, driving adoption of APQP methodologies.\r\nOversee EMC, safety, environmental, and regulatory certifications (UL, CE, FCC, BTL).\r\nCommunicate NPI readiness, risk assessments, and mitigation plans to senior leadership.\r\nDrive on-time delivery of high-quality designs in a fast-paced and evolving environment.\r\nQualifications\r\nBachelor's degree in electronic engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.\r\nProven track record in hardware engineering leadership roles. 5+ years of management experience.\r\n5+ years of experience in developing and maintaining complex Electronic Devices deployment.\r\nStrong background in embedded systems, MCU/MPU based designs, displays, and power supply architectures.\r\nExperience leading engineering teams through the entire Development cycle (Design Review process, EVT/DVT/PVT).\r\nStrong understanding of EMC compliance, safety standards, and certification requirements.\r\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\r\nStrong people-centric leadership style with a focus on trust, clarity, conflict management, and team well-being.\r\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with strong attention to detail.\r\nDemonstrated ability to deliver results under dynamic and rapidly shifting priorities.\r\nGood communication skills, both written and verbal.\r\nUnderstanding of industrial, HVAC, or building automation protocols (BACnet, Modbus) is an asset.\r\nExperience with Azure DevOps or similar ALM tools (work management, Git, CI/CD pipelines, test plans).\r\nTravel Requirements\r\n0-25%\r\nLI-AP1\r\nJob Segment\r\nTesting, Controls Engineer, Compliance, Embedded, Program Manager, Technology, Engineering, Legal, Management\r\nWe value diversity and are an equal opportunity employer.
